Homelessness in Tampa Bay

Unexpected Faces Unexpected Places

I am honored to have been able to work with the Hillsborough County Homeless Coalition and The Taylor Company in Tampa on the Unexpected Faces, Unexpected Places campaign.

This is my first non-profit website and while there may have been a news release of the project, the campaign itself doesn't launch until after the holidays. The entire project is a public awareness campaign aimed at telling the stories of unexpected homeless cases that represent a larger and non-stereotypical demographic in the Tampa area. Tracy Copes has designed some great ads from Brian's photos that will display on billboard space and other ad spaces in Hillsborough County.

So, keep your eyes and ears open in Tampa for the campaign and related exhibition!

Jim Walters logo

Luxury Living in Tampa Bay

Jim Walters Realtor

Completed the design for Jim Walters, a local real estate agent with Smith & Associates. Jim's primarily expertise is with Tampa's booming luxury condominium market although he also covers single-family homes and townhomes. I wanted to use a lot of white space and clean imagery to reflect an elegant, luxurious site for those interested in Jim's services. His team includes valuable tips for those interested in both buying and selling Tampa real estate property.

Garcia Seufert Architect logo

Garcia Seufert Architect, Inc. is a local architecture firm, focusing on commercial design and architecture on a national level. Their main goal was to showcase their portfolio work with project images in a slideshow setting while utilizing minimal Flash motion on the site. They requested a "clean" site with pre-existing color scheme pulled from current marketing collateral.

I enlisted the help of Ajax to provide a fluid Flash-like navigation system that integrated into the design. After some compromise, we used the Ajax menus as efficiently as possible to create a fluid working site.

studio :anderson logo

Architecture with No Boundaries

studio :anderson is the brainchild of San Diego based designer Aaron Anderson. Aaron came to me with a very specific minimalist look that he wanted to reflect his own architectural design sense and style. Since his architectural work is growing quickly, I made a suggestions to utilize a dynamic, XML based component that works with Flash MX 2004, to manage his gallery images.

I simply used CSS to carry over his vision to the web. So far I have added some Javascript to the navigation and am currently testing usability across all browsers.

Logistic Innovations logo

Logistic Innovations

Based in New York City, Logistic Innovations provides dependable event management expertise, technology and resources to help companies keep pace with industry demands.

Although a very structured website, I was given 100% control over design and branding for company. I started with about 10 variations of the current logo before coming up with a definitive, flexible look for both web and print. I have been able to incorporate simple graphics with a sleek javascript navigation that integrates into the site nicely.

Already their LOGIC Network has drawn meeting planners from all over the country. After being able to work side-by-side with Logistic Innovations, I'd highly recommend anyone with event planning background to join their network!

Sound-N-Style Productions

Sound-N-Style Productions

A good friend and classmate from The University of Tampa came to me to help build a web presence for his own company, Sound-N-Style Productions. He wanted something clean and simple that could allow for future expansion and extended content. I proposed an economical solution keeping in mind that the site would grow as his project-base grew. I've worked with him on an awesome video project while in school so there is no doubt in my mind that his video production, project management, and design services aren't of the utmost quality and precise detail!

DangerBoy

The Beauty of CSS Design

Screenshot of Dangerboy CSS layout

DangerBoy is a portfolio piece that I did for csszengarden.com in October 2004. I was always so impressed by the gallery of designs that encouraged me to design with cascading style sheets, I created one of my own while fine-tuning my ability to design using CSS. While it is not an official design, it is located in the Conceptual Design gallery as Dangerboy by Paul Trusik. With over 400 designs, you can really start to see the flexibility that CSS can lend to web design
